The Burundi 1,000 Francs is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2009 with a pick number P-46. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. Its front side depicts the countrys Coat of Arms, a coffee plant branch, and cattle. On its reverse are flags and the Monument de lUnite Nationale or the Monument of National Unity which is found on Vugizo Hill in Bujumbura. A coffee plant branch and a steer head are also visible. The banknote which is 137 x 69 mm in size has a solid security thread. Furthermore, it has a watermark that consists of a portrait of President Micombero.
