This 10 Hong Kong dollar note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. It is a green, orange, pink, and blue note that is dated 1 January 1988, bears the signature of the HSBC manager, and measures 138 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side features a lion rampant, a crowned coat of arms, a unicorn rampant, a sailing ship, and a Chinese junk ship. Its reverse side shows two reclining lion statues flanking the 4th HSBC headquarters building in Central District, a Chinese junk ship, and a modern freight ship. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of a lion head in profile. Additionally, the note qualifies for PMG’s Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ) and an above average centering. The note is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
