This banknote set comes with 5 pieces of 50 pfennig notgeld paper bills issued in 1921. These local banknotes make up the Archive Series released by the City of Muhlhausen in Thuringia. Some notes feature an owl and a stairway on their obverse while some depict an M symbol imposed on a child carrying a shovel, walking on a closed book. The reverse of the banknotes displays the letters of Karl V, Luther, Wallenstein, Bach, and Tillys. On the lower left is a design element of the citys coat of arms such as a red-armored eagle or a silver mill iron. These emergency paper bills are 106 x 65 mm in size and are in uncirculated condition.
