Reviews:

This banknote set includes 3 pieces of Rinteln notgeld banknotes issued by the City of Rinteln in Hesse-Nassau in 1920. These banknotes are in 25 and 50 pfennig, and 1-mark denomination. The banknotes illustrate buildings and as well as fictional characters and events related to the Munchhausens. The obverse of the 25 and 50 pfennig note reflects the Munchhausen family which was built by the nobleman Hilmar von Munchhausen. The front of the 1-mark banknote features the coat of arms of Rinteln depicting a nettle leaf in a gate on the Weser river. Below the emblem is an illustration of Hieronymus von Munchhausen. The reverse of these emergency paper bills portrays the fictional character, Baron Munchausen catching a bear, riding on a cannonball, and on a horseback. The 25-pfennig bill is 90 x 60 mm in size while the vertical-oriented 50 pfennig and 1-mark notes are 60 x 90 mm. These notgeld banknotes are in uncirculated condition.
