The Thailand 50 Baht Banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand between 1985 and 1996. The obverse of this blue banknote features Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) wearing a uniform. It also features the Royal Garuda emblem and the emblem of the Chakri Dynasty depicting a chakra (discus) and a trisula (trident). The reverse of the banknote depicts the coat of arms and the signature of Rama VII, and the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall within the Royal Palace in Bangkok. It also displays the Royal Garuda emblem and the statue of the seated Rama VII modeled from the monument in front of the National Parliament building in Bangkok. The banknote bears a solid purple security thread with printed Thai text. The banknote also contains a watermark that reveals Rama IX. It is 144 x 72 mm in size. Additionally, it bears the signatures of Sommai Huntakul and Kumchorm Sothirakul. This banknote is in uncirculated condition.
