The Costa Rica 5,000 Colones Banknote was issued by the Banco Central de Costa Rica in 2018, printed on polymer. Its obverse features Alfredo Gonzalez Flores and the Banco Internacional de Costa Rica building in San Jose. It also displays the outline map of Costa Rica. The reverse depicts a mangrove swamp, a crab, a monkey, and a flower. The note contains a clear window watermark with a patterned design and a portrait of Alfredo Gonzalez Flores and a simulated security thread. It is 139 x 67 mm and is signed by Rodrigo Cubero Brealey and Eduardo Prado Zuniga. This polymer note is in uncirculated condition.
