Italy 50,000 Lire Banknote from 1992 with pick number P-116c is in used condition and features Gian Lorenzo Bernini.


The Italy 50,000 Lire Banknote was issued by the Bank of Italy in 1992. It comes in a color combination of purple, green, yellow, and orange. On its obverse is the Triton fountain in Piazza Barberini in Rome. It also shows the seal of the Maritime Republics (Amalfi Genoa, Pisa, and Venice) and a portrait of Italian sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The reverse of the note is a depiction of the interior of Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City in Rome and Bernini's equestrian statue. Also on the reverse is the Vision of Constantine and the penal code. The note contains a solid security thread with printed BANCA D’ITALIA and a plain solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reveals Gian Lorenzo Bernini and an electrotype BI monogram. The banknote is 149 x 70 mm in size and signed by Antonio Fazio and Angelo Amici. This particular banknote is in used condition.
