The Albania 1,000 Leke banknote is part of the Bank of Albanias 2019 issues. The obverse of this green banknote features a blazing sun, an in-profile picture of writer Pjeter Bogdani, an outline of the Bank of Albania headquarters building in Optically Variable Ink, and a blazing sun in OVI. The reverse of the note depicts the national emblem, Bogdanis vision of the heliocentric system, and a Catholic church in Vau i Dejes. The banknote is 139 x 69 mm in size and it comes with a watermark that reflects an illustration of a lunar eclipse, the Vau i Dejes church, and the denomination. The paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
