The Uruguay 2,000 Nuevos Pesos banknote is part of the 1989 issues. It has a color combination of orange, purple, brown, red, blue, and green and measures 159 x 74 mm. The obverse side shows the coat of arms, laurels, scroll, and artists palette as registration devices, and Juan Manuel Blanes. The reverse side features the El Altar de la Patria (Altar of the Homeland), consisting of an allegorical woman standing with a staff, leaning on a monument with flag and scales and laurels, scroll, and an artists palette. This banknote uses a solid security thread with printed URUGUAY and contains a watermark with a Jose Gervasio Artigas design. This banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
