The Tanzania 1,000 Shilingi banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Bank of Tanzania in 2016. The banknote comes in blue and is 125 x 65 mm in size. Its obverse features the coat of arms of the country, a holographic patch, the Bismarck Rock situated in Mwanza Harbor, and Julius Kambarage Nyerere who served as the first president. The back of the note depicts a coffee plant and the State House building with a flag. The banknote bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOT 2010. It also has a watermark that shows Julius Kambarage Nyerere with an electrotype 1000 and Cornerstones. This particular Tanzania 1,000 Shilingi banknote has been TAP authenticated and is in uncirculated condition.

Tanzania 2,000 Shilingi banknote from 2015 ND with a pick number P-42b is in uncirculated (UNC) condition and features a lion and the coat of arms of Tanzania. Additionally, the banknote has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
