This 200 Egyptian pound note is a replacement circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Egypt. It is a purple, green, and brown note that is dated 04 February 2013, bear the signature of Hisham Ramez Abdel Hafez, and measures 165 mm x 73 mm. Its obverse side features the Qani Bay Mosque in Cairo. Its reverse side shows a statue of the Seated Scribe and a cartouche with hieroglyphics that read “Egypt is Peace”. Security features include a denomination registration device, a 1.5-mm wide solid security thread with demetallized 200 POUNDS in Arabic, a 3-mm wide windowed security thread with demetallized 200 and TWO HUNDRED POUNDS in Arabic, and a watermark of an Egyptian Scribe with an electrotype 200. Additionally, the note is qualified for PMG’s Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ) and an above average centering. The note is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
