The Afghanistan 1,000 Afghanistan banknote is part of the banknote series issued in 2012. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and is graded 68 by the Professional Coin Grading Service. On the right part of the notes obverse is the Blue Mosque which is also known as the Noble Shrine. The bank seal is also visible. The reverse of the banknote is the Mausoleum of Ahmad Shah Durrani which is found in Kandahar. This 158 x 66 mm paper bill bears a 12-mm wide holographic stripe. It also has a 3-mm windowed security thread with an ornament and a demetallized 1000. The notes watermark features consist of the Mausoleum of Mirwais Khan Hotaki, electrotype Arabic text, an ornament, and Cornerstones.
