The Afghanistan 1 Afghanis banknote was issued by the Afghanistan Bank in 2002. It features the logo of Da Afghanistan Bank depicting horsemen, cornucopia, and ancient coins on the obverse. Centered on the banknote’s reverse is the Blue Mosque in Mazari Sharif which is also known as the Shrine of Hazrat Ali. Birds are also visible on the reverse of the note. This 131 x 55 mm paper bill bears a solid security thread. When held up to a light source, an image of the Mausoleum of the Greater Afghanistan ruler Mirwais Khan Hotaki can be seen. The pink banknote is signed by Hedayat Amin Arsala and Anwar ul-Haq Ahady. This particular banknote bears a radar serial number and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
