This Afghanistan 10,000 Afghani banknote issued in 1993 is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. It is part of the banknote series issued as needed by inflation which was caused by the invasion of the Soviet Union and Afghan civil war. Highlighted on the notes obverse is the Masjid-i Jami or the Friday Mosque in Herat. The obverse also displays the bank logo with horsemen, cornucopia, and ancient coins is also visible. On the notes reverse is the Arch of Qala-e-Bost or the Great Fortress of Bost which is nestled in Lashkar Gar. This 171 x 76 mm paper banknote is signed by Hakim and Khalili and bears a solid security thread with a printed 10000 and text. Additionally, it has an image of the bank logo as its watermark.
