The Afghanistan 5 Afghanis Banknote was issued by Afghanistan Bank in 1939. This green banknote was printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson and Company. Its obverse features King Muhammad Zahir and the coat of arms of Afghanistan. Its reverse depicts the Commander’s Dam lake in the Hindu Kush mountains. The note does not have a security thread but bears a watermark that reveals Muhammad Zahir. It is 149 x 73 mm in size. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
