The Afghanistan 50 Afghanis Banknote was issued by the Afghanistan Bank in 1977. The green banknote bears Arabic and English texts. Its obverse features the new coat of arms of Afghanistan depicting an eagle beneath a rising sun. It also shows a portrait of President Muhammad Daud. The reverese of the note depicts three men riding on yaks through the snow-covered Hindu Kush mountains. It contains a security thread. Its watermark reveals Muhammad Daud. The note was printed by De La Rue and measures 150 x 60 mm. It also carries the signatures of Sayed Abdulillah and Mohammad Hakim. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
