This uncirculated 500 Afghani banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Afghanistan Bank. It is a brown and blue banknote that is dated 1977 (SH 1356), bears the signatures of Mohammad Hakim and Sayed Abdullilah, and measures 167 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side shows a portrait of Muhammad Daud and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side depicts the mountains and the fortified farmstead in Bamyan Valley. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Muhammad Daud.
