Afghanistan 500 Afghanis Banknote, 1979 (SH1358), P-59, UNC

The Afghanistan 500 Afghanis Banknote was issued by the Afghanistan Bank in 1979. It comes in a color combination of purple, brown, blue, and green. Its obverse bears Arabic text and features men on horses playing the national sport Buzkashi. It also displays the bank seal depicting horsemen, a cornucopia, and ancient coins. The reverse of the paper bill is in Arabic and English and shows the High Fortress in Kabul. The note contains a solid security thread and watermark varieties. It is 150 x 66 mm in size and carries the signatures of Ghulam Hussain Juwaini and Abdul Wakil. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
