This uncirculated 2,000 Albanian lek banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Algeria. It is a purple banknote that is dated 2012, bear the signatures of Ardian Fullani and Dorian Collaku, and measures 155 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side shows MBRETI GENT (Gentius, the last king of Illyria), three ancient coins, an outline of the Bank of Algeria building in OVI, and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side depicts the bitter root plant (gentiana lutea or the great yellow gentian), and the ancient Butrint amphitheater near Sarande. Security features include a hologram, a 3.0-mm wide windowed security thread with a demetalized 2000, and a watermark of Gentius and Cornerstones.
