The Algeria 1,000 Dinar banknote was released by the Bank of Algeria in 1998. The banknote has hints of red and orange. Featured on its obverse are the cave art of animals in Tassili and the head of a water buffalo. The reverse of the banknote depicts a painting of an antelope in the Hoggar cave and rock pillars. The banknote comes with a watermark that reflects a buffalo head pattern. It also bears a holographic stripe with portraits of Abd al-Qadir and Numidian King Jugurtha. The paper bill is 160 x 71.7 mm in size and carries a windowed security thread with a demetalized Arabic text. This particular Algeria 1,000 Dinar banknote has been TAP authenticated and in uncirculated condition.
