The Algeria 1,000 Dinar banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2005 to commemorate the 60th year anniversary of the Arab League which was established in 1945. This particular note is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. The obverse of the note features Tassili cave paintings of animals. It also bears the 60th anniversary logo of the Arab League. On the reverse is a Hoggar cave painting of an antelope. Rock pillars are also displayed on the reverse of this note. Printed by the Bank of Algeria, this 160 x 71.7 mm paper note has a windowed security thread with a demetallized Arabic text. It also shows a watermark of a Water buffalo pattern and signatures of Guerdoud and Laksaci.
