This 1,000 Algerian dinar note commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Arab League. It is a red and orange note that measures 160 mm x 71.7 mm, is dated 22 March 2005, and signed by Mohamed Laksaci and Mustapha Guerdoud. Its obverse side features the Tassili cave painting of animals and the Arab League’s 60th-anniversary seal. Its reverse side features the Hoggar cave painting of an antelope and rock pillars. Security features include a holographic stripe, a windowed security thread with demetalized Arabic text, and a watermark of a water buffalo head pattern. It is also a superb gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average margins and registration. Thus, it is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
