The Algeria 2,000 Dinars Banknote was issued by the Banque d’ Algierie in 2011. It has a color combination of greenish-blue and brown. Its obverse side depicts a university professor lecturing students in an amphitheater, the double-helix DNA strand, and three researchers in a scientific laboratory. Its reverse side shows an urban setting near a body of water. Security features include a 13-mm wide LEAD holographic stripe, a windowed security thread with the bank name in demetalized Arabic text, and a watermark of an Emir Abdelkader pattern. This note honors science, technology, agriculture, urban development, and water resources. It bears the signatures of Mohamed Loukal and Salah Eddine Taleb and measures 160 mm x 71.7 mm. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
