It is a purple note that is dated 10 June 1998, bears the signature of Mohamed Loukal, and measures 150 mm x 71.7 mm. Its obverse side features a Numidian army atop elephants attacking Roman soldiers (Hannibal vs. Romans). Its reverse side shows the tomb of Numid King Massinissa, the Hammam Chellali waterfall, and three men on elephants. Security features include a holographic stripe with the heads of Abd al-Qadir and King Jugurtha, a windowed security thread with demetallized Arabic text, and a watermark of an elephant head pattern.
