The Argentina 1,000 Peso banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1983 - 1985. The obverse of this TAP authenticated banknote features Jose de San Martin who was well-known as El Libertador of Argentina, Peru, and Chile. On its obverse are the Coat of Arms and a painting by Augusto Ballerini El Paso de los Andes which depicts General Jose de San Martin leading his army as they crossed the Andes in January 1817. Signed by Lopez and Vazquez, this 155 x 75 mm paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
