The Argentina 1,000 Pesos Argentino banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1983 -1985. This particular note comes in uncirculated condition. The obverse of the banknote features Jose de San Martin who was known as the countrys liberator. On the reverse of the note is the El Paso de los Andes or the Crossing the Andes which is a painting by Augusto Ballerini depicting General Jose de San Martin leading his army crossing the Andes in January 1817. The national emblem is also shown on the banknotes reverse. This 155 x 75 mm paper bill bears the signatures of Lopez and Vazquez.
