This 10 Argentinian austral note is part of the provisional austral notes that were printed on peso argentine notes. This 10 austral note is printed on a 10,000 peso argentine note. The blue-violet note measures 155 mm x 75 mm and bears the signature of H. Alonso and Juan J.A. Concepcion. Its obverse side contains a boxed 10/DIEZ AUSTRALES overprint and a portrait of Manuel Belgrano, the military leader. Its reverse side contains the national coat of arms, a boxed 10/DIEZ AUSTRALES, and the painting “Creation de la Bandera Argentina” (Creation of the Argentine Flag). Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a sunburst pattern watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG). The note was demonetized in 1988.
