The Argentina 100 Pesos Banknote is part of the Central Bank of Argentina’s 1954-1968 issues. The note is predominantly brown with an accent of green. On its obverse are the coat of arms of Argentina and a portrait of General Jose de San Martin wearing a military uniform. The reverse displays soldiers with muskets, a man holding a flagpole, a cleric holding a cross, a man with a sword, a pillar, indigenous people sitting, a tent, and horsemen, as shown in the painting by Jose Moreno Carbonero, called “Segunda Fundacion de Buenos Aires” (Second Foundation of Buenos Aires). The banknote does not have a security thread but contains watermark varieties. It is 162 x 81 mm in size and is signed by Ricardo Pedro Pasman and Emilio Fabregas. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
