The Argentina 5,000 Pesos banknote was released by the Central Bank between 1977 and 1983. On the obverse of the blue banknote are olive branches and a portrait of Jose de San Martin. The reverse of the paper bill depicts the coat of arms of Argentina, olive branches, and the Casino Central and the NH Gran Hotel Provincial in Mar del Plata. The paper bill does bear a security thread. It contains a watermark that reveals multiple sunbursts. The banknote is 156 x 75 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
