Argentina 5 Australes Banknote, 1985-1989 ND, P-324b, UNC

The Argentina 5 Australes banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1986 bearing the first design specifically for the austral currency. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition. On its obverse is a portrait of the third president Justo Jose de Urquiza. The reverse of the banknote features the seated Liberty called Progreso holding a torch, with a shield and a banner, and surrounded with laurels. This 155 x 65 mm paper banknote has no security thread. It has a watermark which consists of a sunburst pattern. It also bears the signatures of Elias Salama and Jose Luis Machinea.
