Reviews:

The Argentina 5 Peso banknote is part of the 2003 series which is no longer backed by the US dollars. This particular banknote is graded 69 by the Paper Money Guaranty. Its obverse features a painting by Pedro Subercaseaux titled Abrazo de Maipu which depicts Jose de San Martin hugging the military leader Bernardo OHiggins. The bill also bears a portrait of El Libertador Jose de San Martin wearing a military uniform. San Martins will is also shown on the right of the obverse. The banknotes reverse is the monument dedicated to the Army of the Andes nestled on Cerro de la Gloria or Glory Hill in Mendoza. Furthermore, the 155 x 65 mm paper banknote displays the Order of the Liberator General San Martin medal and the Coat of Arms of Argentina. Signed by Juan Carlos Fabrega and Amadou Boudou, the banknote has a watermark which includes an image of Jose de San Martin and an electrotype JSM.
