This uncirculated Argentina 50 Australes banknote is part of the series issued when Argentina adopted the austral currency system from 1985 to 1991. This note circulated from 1986 to 1989 and bore the signatures of R.E. De Paul and Javier Gonzalez Fraga. Its obverse side features Bartolome Mitre, the 6th president of Argentina. Its reverse side shows an allegory of Liberty (Progreso) holding a torch and a shield and the national coat of arms. Though this note does not have a security thread, it has a sunburst pattern watermark and dimensions of 155 mm x 65 mm.
