The Argentina 50 Peso banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1976 with no authorizing law citation printed on the front. On its obverse is a portrait of Jose de San Martin who was also known as El Libertador. There are also oak and olive branches visible on the obverse side. The back of the banknote depicts the Coat of Arms of Argentina and the Las Termas de Reyes or the Hot Springs of King hotel located in Jujuy. The paper bill which is 155 x 75 mm in size has a watermark consisting of the Coat of Arms.
