Reviews:

The Argentina 50 Peso banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1999 which comes with a redesigned vignette. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition. Its obverse side features Domingo Faustino Sarmiento who was the 7th President of the country. An unknown scene with a lot of people is shown at the center. On the right of the obverse is a manuscript of Vida De Dominguito which is a biography of Sarmientos adopted son who died at the Battle of Curupayty. The banknote also bears a fountain pen which serves as its registration device. The reverse depicts the Casa de Gobierno building located in Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires. It also displays the La Portena locomotive, trees, a flag, and a pyramid. The Coat of Arms, a sailing with European immigrants, and an El Progresso scroll with quill and inkwell are visible on the reverse. The 155 x 65 mm paper banknote has a windowed security thread with a demetallized BCRA $50. It also has a watermark which consists of an image of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento and an electrotype DFS.
