The Argentina 500 Austral banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1988. It is among the banknotes with a design specifically for the new currency which is the austral. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. The obverse of the note depicts Nicolas Avellaneda who was the 8th president of Argentina.On the reverse side is the seated Liberty known as Progreso holding a torch. Flowers and a shield are also visible. The Coat of Arms of Argentina is also shown on the reverse of the note. This 155 x 65 mm paper banknote has a sunburst pattern as its watermark.
