This 500 Argentine peso note was introduced by the Central Bank of Argentina in 1978 and signed by Pedro Camilo Lopez and Egidio Iannella. It is a green note that measures 155 mm x 75 mm. Its obverse side features olive branches and a portrait of revolutionary leader Jose de San Martin. Its reverse side features the memorial monument to the Army of the Andes on Glory Hill. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a sunburst pattern watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
