The Armenia 1,000 Dram is part of the 2011 banknote series which comes with a Kinegram holographic stripes that would shift between an ornament and the person on the note when tilted. This banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. The front of the banknote highlights Yeghishe Charents who was an Armenian writer and poet. Mount Ararat can also be seen in the background. On the banknotes reverse is the Old Yerevan building. A carriage with a driver and two horses is also featured. The banknote which is 136 x 72 mm in size has a solid security thread with a demetallized AMD 100. Furthermore, it has a watermark which shows Yeghishe Charents and an electrotype 1000.
