The Armenia 1,000 Dram Banknote was released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia in 2001. It has a color combination of green and light rose. The obverse of the note depicts Armenian poet Yegishe Charents who is referred to as the main poet of the 20th century in Armenia. It also shows Mount Ararat. The reverse features a carriage with horses and a driver in front of an Old Yerevan building. The note contains a solid security thread and a windowed security thread with a demetallized AMD and a watermark that reveals an image of Yeghishe Charents and an electrotype 1000. The paper bill measures 136 x 72 mm and is in uncirculated condition. It also bears the signatures of Tigran Sargsyan and Vardan Khachatryan. This particular banknote has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
