The Armenia 500 Dram Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Republic in 2017 to commemorate Noah’s Ark. It has a color combination of yellow, gray, brown, and blue and has a radar serial number. The obverse features Friedrich Parrot’s woodcut of Etchmiadzin Cathedral building, a green-to-gold RollingStar LEAD reliquary with Noah’s Ark fragment, the side of Mount Ararat, and a gold-to-green SPARK Live flying dove with an olive branch in its beak. The reverse depicts Mount Ararat as seen from Chor Virap Monastery, animals and birds flanking Noah’s family, from Jacob Carolsfeld’s woodcut, “Noah Leaving the Ark, and a flying eagle. The banknote contains a gold-to-green Galaxy windowed security thread with demetallized AMD / 500, a registration device in the form of Noah’s Ark, and a watermark that reveals Noah’s Ark and an electrotype 500. The banknote is 140 x 76 mm in size and is signed by Arthur Javadyan and Vartan Aranyan. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
