The Aruba 50 Florin is part of the banknote series issued in 2003 which includes new security attributes. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. The obverse side features an owl called Shoco-speotyto cunicularia arubensis which can be found in North and South America. The reverse of the banknote depicts pre-Columbian pottery motifs. Security features of this 147 x 67 mm paper banknote include a triangular foil patch, a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBA and a watermark which consists of a divi-divi tree and an electrotype bank logo. Furthermore, it bears the signatures of the Central Bank of Aruba director Jeanette Semeleer and President Anthony Richard Caram.
