The Aruba 50 Florin is part of the family of notes issued in 2003 with new security features. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition. Its obverse is a burrowing owl called Shoco-speotyto cunicularia arubensis. Pre-Columbian pottery motifs are featured on the reverse of the banknote. This 147 x 67 mm paper money has a triangular foil patch, a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBA and a watermark which shows a divi-divi tree and an electrotype bank seal. The banknote also bears the signatures of Jeanette Semeleer who is the first ever woman appointed as the Central Bank of Aruba director and Hassanali Mehran who was a former president of CBA.
