This half-Bahamian dollar note was issued under the Law 1974 and introduced in 1984 by the Central Bank of the Bahamas. It is a green note that measures 156 mm x 67 mm, is dated 1974, and bears the signature of Bank Governor William C. Allen. Its obverse side shows straw baskets, the map of the Bahamas, and the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side shows Sister Sarah Johnson in the Nassau Market and the coat of arms. Security features include a sand dollar registration device, a solid security thread, and a Spanish galleon watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
