This half-Bahamian dollar note is dated 2001 and signed by Central Bank of Bahamas Governor Julian W. Francis. It is a green and yellow note that measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side shows straw baskets, the map of the Bahamas, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side shows Sister Sarah Johnson in the Nassau Market. Security features include the sand dollar registration device, a windowed security thread with demetalized BAHAMAS, and a Spanish galleon watermark. It is also a superb gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average margins and registration. Thus, it is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
