The Bahamas half a dollar banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Bahamas in 1984 under the 1974 law. The obverse of the green banknote features straw baskets, the map of the Bahamas, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the tiara of Grand Duchess Vladimir and the golden jubilee necklace of Queen Victoria. The reverse of the paper bill depicts artisan straw weaver Sister Sarah in the Nassau market with fish and fruit. The reverse also displays bananas and the coat of arms of the Bahamas. Security features of the note include a registration device that reflects a sand dollar, a solid security thread, and a watermark that reveals a Spanish galleon. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated.
