The Bahamas 1 Dollar Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Bahamas in 1996. Its obverse side features coral and fish, the map of the Bahamas, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara and the royal family order of King George VI. Its reverse side contains English text, a conch shell, the national emblem, and the police band. Security features of the note include a sand dollar registration device, a solid security thread printed BAHAMAS, and a watermark of a Spanish galleon. It is green in color and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. It bears the signature of Governor F.H. Smith. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
