This 1 Bahamian dollar note is part of the CRISP (Counterfeit Resistant Integrated Security Product) series that was designed to prevent forgeries. It is a green and orange note that is dated 2008, bears the signature of Central Bank Governor Wendy Craigg, and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features a green foil fish, a map of the Bahamas, embossed flamingos, and a portrait of Lynden O. Pindling, the Father of the Nation of the Bahamas. Its reverse side shows the police band. Security features include a sand dollar registration device, a solid security thread, and a violet-to-green windowed security thread with a demetallized BAHAMAS, and a watermark of Lynden O. Pindling and an electrotype 1. It is also a superb gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average margins and registration.
