Bahamas 1 Dollar Banknote, 2008, P-71, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Bahamas 1 dollar banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2008 by the Central Bank of the Bahamas which is known as CRISP series or Counterfeit Resistant Integrated Security Product. The CRISP issues were the first to have a variety of security features specifically designed for each denomination for anti-forgery. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and TAP authenticated. On the banknotes obverse side is a portrait of Lynden O. Pindling who is dubbed as the Father of the Nation of Bahamas. The front also depicts a green foil fish, a map, and embossed flamingoes. The back of the note displays the Royal Bahamas police band, the national emblem, and yellow elder flowers. This 156 x 67 mm paper banknote has a solid security thread and a violet-to-green windowed security thread with a demetallized BAHAMAS. Moreover, it has a watermark which consists of a portrait of Lynden O. Pindling.
