This uncirculated 10 Bahamian dollar banknote was introduced in 2016. Its obverse side contains a map of the Bahamas, a yellow elder flower, a SPARK Orbital butterfly, and a portrait of Stafford L. Sands, the Father of Bahamian Tourism. Its reverse side is vertically oriented. The Hope Town lighthouse, and a view of Abaco Islands are featured on the reverse side. The note is 156 mm long and 67 mm wide. It is the first non-commemorative banknote in the world to use De La Rues Active security thread. Other security features of the note are the sand dollar registration device, tactile bars, and a watermark of Stafford L. Sands, electrotype $10, and Cornerstones.
