The Bahamas 3 Dollar banknote is part of the 1974-1984 family of banknotes which shows vignettes of island life on its reverse. This particular paper bill has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. On the banknotes obverse side is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Grand Duchess Vladimirs tiara and Queen Victorias golden jubilee necklace. Sunbathers on Paradise beach as well as a map is also shown on the notes obverse. The banknotes reverse side bears four boats in Family Island regatta, a Bahamian sloop, and the national emblem. Furthermore, the 156 x 67 mm bill has a sand dollar as its registration device, a solid security thread, and a watermark consisting of a Spanish galleon.
