The Bahrain 1/2 Dinar Banknote was issued by the Bahrain Monetary Agency in 1996 under the 1973/23 Authorization Law. It has a color combination of dark brown and violet. ts obverse side shows the national coat of arms with a brown shield and a blind weaver at a loom in the Bani Jamra Village Handicraft Center. Its reverse side depicts the Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) smelter. Security features include a 1-mm wide windowed security thread and a watermark of an Arabian oryx head. It is 142 mm x 71 mm in size and bears the signature of Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Sulman al Khalifa. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
